Doris G. Fosburg, 78, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 at Pennock Hospital in Hastings.
She was born January 29, 1933 in East Grand Rapids, the daughter of George and Ethel (Bozung) Sutton. She graduated from Saranac High School in 1951 and was married to Victor Fosburg on July 28, 1951. Mr. Fosburg preceded her in death on August 10, 1992.
Doris was a longtime volunteer for the American Red Cross, served as Clarksville Village Treasurer and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Preceding Doris in death besides her husband, Victor, was her sister, Patricia Anderson.
Surviving are her daughters, Ann (Gale) Schmidt and Vicki (Mike) Schmidt; grandchildren, Marcus (Jody) Schmidt, Amy (Casey) Young, Jason Schmidt, Michelle (Chad) Vartanian, Jeni (Jeff) Brink and Angie Schmidt; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Linda Grooters; numerous nieces and nephews and her special friend, Gary Hecht.
Visitation with the family will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at Koops Funeral Chapel – Lake Odessa. Funeral Services for Doris will be conducted at 11 am Wednesday at Calvary Grace Brethren Church, 13700 84th St., SE, Alto, with Pastor Brian Auten, officiating. Interment will follow at Clarksville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in memory of Doris may be directed to the American Red Cross.
