Kim Elaine Fenstemaker, aged 48, of Wyoming, passed away at her home on January 19, 2010. Kim was born in Hastings, MI on September 17, 1961 to Stanley and Pearl (Kauffman) Fenstemaker. She enjoyed participating in Special Olympics and was proud of the medals she had won. Kim helped with the cleaning at Kentwood Community Church and took special pride in doing her best. She made many special friends with the paramedics from AMR who helped with her transportation needs, and also became a very special person to all the staff that helped with her dialysis. She is survived by her sisters, Joan (Dave) Longcore, Deb Fenstemaker, Jane Fenstemaker (Bob), and Julie (Alan) Elam; nieces and nephews, Denny, Chris, Cassie, Kera, Steve, Bobby, Tina, Jenny, Brian, Shandi, Kevin, Raechel, DJ, and Nathan; and many more loving relatives and friends. Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Pearl Fenstemaker; and brother, Steven Fenstemaker. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 21 at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa. The funeral service will be held at the Koops Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 22 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Woodland Memorial Park. The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics.
