Ila Hein, aged 84, of Lake Odessa, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 12, 2009. She was born in Lansing, Michigan on August 14, 1925 to Crawford and Belva (Berg) Twichell. Ila had retired from the State of Michigan Department of Transportation after 30 years of service. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Richard A. Hein; and two step-sons, Richard N. Hein of Lake Odessa, and William R. (who passed away on September 13, 2009) and Linda Hein of Bayonet Point, FL. Ila had been a member of the First Congregational Church of Lake Odessa. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa with the Rev. Mark L. Jarvie officiating. Interment took place at Deepdale Memorial Gardens in Lansing. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church of Lake Odessa.
