LeRoy Reser, age 86, of Lake Odessa, is now safe and sound in the arms of his Savior. Roy passed away early Thursday morning, July 29, 2010 at Tendercare of Hastings. Roy was born in Kalamazoo, MI on May 13, 1924 to Ernest and Anna (Baughman) Reser. He had lived on the family farm for many years, and had been employed at Kelvinator in Grand Rapids for over 30 years before his retirement in the early 1980's. He was an avid golfer and "yard sale go-er", and loved to visit with people. Roy had served in the US Army during WW II. He is survived by his sister, Wilma Running; brothers, Larry (Pat) Reser and and Frank (Pat) Reser; and many nieces and nephews and their families. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Hilda Reser; and brothers, Wilbur Reser, Ben Reser, and Harry Reser. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa with his nephew, Pastor Jeff Reser officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa. There will be a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 AM on Monday and continuing until the time of the funeral service. The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to the Jackson-Mutschler VFW Post #4461 in Lake Odessa.
